Outside dining will gather around Urban Place's signature smoke stack. Had dinner at the bar on Friday with sweet T. So very crowded for a new bar & restaurant that just opened. Saw a few couple's checking into to the Hotel. Very impressed.

Bull's Head Pub opens in Lititz, PA

Bull's Head Pub is now open General Sutter is happy to announce that the Bulls Head Public House is open! After a lot of hard work and the help of skilled friends the pub opened on March 8th. Here is some info....The owners acquired an original British pub sign from a good friend, who felt it will be put to good use. It comes from a Marston's pub that is located on the outskirts of Nottingham. The pub was refurbished about 15 years ago and the original sign removed. We feel very lucky to have the use of this sign and of course it answered the perplexing question of what to call the pub. The Bulls Head has an excellent beer selection including 14 taps and two cask ales plus over 70 bottled beers. Our pub menu has a number of traditional British pub items as well a some American goodies. Basically something for everyone. The objective has always been to create a true public house where people of the community and further afield can gather over good libations and food to relax, mingle, chat and sort out the world's problems. Philly Beer Raid

In another raid, State Police hit beer distributor, Origlio's, in Far Northeast

Pennsylvania State Police have staged another beer raid,

confiscating about a dozen cases from a leading distributor

in Northeast Philadelphia and ordering it to stop selling several

well-known imports, including Duvel, a popular Belgian beer

sold throughout the Philadelphia region.

Agents from the State Police

Department's Bureau of Liquor Code Enforcement (BLCE)

descended Monday night on Origlio's Beverage,

a wholesale distributor in the Far Northeast whose primary

brands include Coors and Yuengling.

The police seized about a dozen cases from a small

California beermaker, Russian River Brewing Co.,

and ordered Origlio's to stop selling Duvel and other beers,

including Hacker-Pschorr, Paulaner and

Monk's Cafe Ale, developed in Belgium

for the Philadelphia bar at 16th and Spruce streets.

As in armed raids conducted last week

against three Philadelphia taprooms, the State Police

alleged that the targeted beers were not properly

registered with the state Liquor Control Board

for sale in Pennsylvania - a process involving

limited paperwork and a $75 fee.

BELGIAN BEER BLOCKADE LIFTED
A blockade that threatened to strangle supplies of top Belgian beers to home
and neighboring European markets ended in late January, after management and
unions said a compromise was reached. Workers barricaded Stella Artois,
Jupiler and Hoegaarden breweries for two weeks to protest owners
Anheuser-Busch InBev's plans to cut 10% of its European workforce.

". . . the unions and management will start from scratch with meetings of the works  council that will deal with problems site by site," union representative
Tangui Cornu said. The protest action began after the group announced on
Jan.7 that it planned to cut around 800 jobs in western Europe.
