I had posted earlier that more businesses are going to open on Harrisburg Pike, known as College Row and now another store has announced that it is going to open also. European Eyeware, formerly Olde Town Opticians on Duke Street is moving in. For Lancaster County on the east side...Lancaster News Era (By TIM MEKEEL, Staff)reported that the vacant Kemps Foods complex is about to be razed to make way for a Lowe's, a Best Buy and two more businesses. Completion of the $30 million project on Hempstead Road, near Route 30 and next to Costco, is scheduled for mid-2009. "We've got a lot of work to do," said Lowe's spokeswoman Chris Ahearn. Demolition of the former dairy, which closed three years ago, is set to begin in one to two weeks. The razing is expected to take four to six weeks. I heard about this project about a year ago and was wondering about what as going on.
