Imagine my surprise as I finally had time to read the New York Times magazine from Sunday, yesterday. It was the TEACHING issue. In the magazine's style section called 'Class Acts' there are photos of Professors who are making academia look good....and guess who was spotlighted, a professor from Franklin and Marshall College, it was none other than Annalisa Crannell, a professor of mathematics at F&M college, right here in Lancaster City! The short paragraph notes that she tries to get her students to explain mathematics to a nontechnical audience using real world and fictional examples. She was pictured in a Proenza Schouler coat, Dries Van Noten dress and necklace; Marni belt. Check it out page, 90.
